White Dancer
“Archangels, come to punish the city, lost their way in night clubs, scorched their feathers. The white
dancer runs through their blood, laughing she pauses on tiptoe, with a leg like an unturned bottle.
High up, at an altitude of one thousand meters, to the east stars tell their tales through fir-needled
boughs and at midnight the wild boars’ snouts unearth new springs.”
